The agreement
Terms of service
Plain-language terms for the SimuSign early-access service. Last updated July 2026.
1. What SimuSign is
SimuSign is an early-access web service that renders English text and speech as American Sign Language on a 3D avatar, for learning and casual communication. It is provided as-is, without warranty of accuracy or availability, while in active development.
2. What SimuSign is not
SimuSign is not an interpreting service and does not replace qualified human ASL interpreters. You must not rely on it for medical, legal, employment, financial, emergency, or other high-stakes communication, and you must not present its output to others as professional interpretation. See our honest limits page for current capability.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your account credentials and for what is submitted under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (automated scraping, attempts to disrupt the service, or unlawful use).
4. Your content
Text and audio you submit is processed to produce translations and improve the service's reliability. We do not sell your content. See the Privacy Policy for details.
5. Changes and termination
This is an early-access product: features may change, break, or be removed. We may update these terms as the service evolves and will date changes at the top of this page. You can stop using the service and request account deletion at any time.
