Changelog
What's new
We build in the open and ship quality weekly. This page lists what actually changed — including the things we got wrong and fixed.
Truer self-points, FUTURE, and two-point face contact
quality
July 5, 2026
- “I” and “me” now sign as a clear self-point toward the chest — reworked three times against real product screenshots until it read right.
- New sign: FUTURE — “will” now signs instead of spelling W-I-L-L.
- GO fixed: both hands now move forward together (they used to drift apart).
- HOME and DEAF now touch two real points on the face, the way the citation forms do.
- 109 hand-authored signs and counting; everything else fingerspells — visibly, never silently.
Fingerspelling gets real word rhythm
quality
July 4–5, 2026
- Multi-word names pause briefly between words instead of blurring together.
- Doubled letters (the L-L in JILL) now step sideways like real fingerspelling.
- First and last letters of each word hold slightly longer — the rhythm readers actually use.
- Face-contact signs approach, touch, and settle instead of dipping past the face.
Voice translation shows clause-level grammar
feature
July 3, 2026
- Facial grammar (brows, head) now changes per clause on live voice — ask a question mid-sentence and the face marks exactly that clause.
- Audio file upload fixed in production (it had never actually worked — now it does).
- Single letters like “A” render instead of returning nothing.
The studio goes live
feature
July 2–3, 2026
- Translation Studio launched: text, live voice, and meeting/tab audio, all signed by the 3D avatar.
- Floating pop-out signer (beta) — keep the avatar on screen over other apps.
- Fingerspelling Trainer with drill and quiz modes.
- Fingerspelled letters A and E reworked after blind-reader testing (readers who don't know the target letter judge our handshapes).
